Anyone who has used a Sennheiser product knows they are great and the Sennheiser HD 555 Headphones are no exception, especially for their reasonable pricing.
I love listening to music in the car, at home, in the cafe and often just use my Apple mac with Itunes. Although any headphone works better with a fully optimized amp setup the Sennheiser HD 555 Headphones still work extremely well in all conditions.
An Internal Surround Reflector is used by the Sennheiser HD 555 Headphones to extend the sound field making them great for watching movies and listening to music in the home. They also include the awesome E.A.R technology and optimized duofol diaphragms and Neodymium magnets. This may not mean much to you but basically accuracy is optimized, you get a full bass and crispness in all the other ranges. The soft ear padding makes them comfortable for extended listing and they work great for glasses wearers, like myself. They also come with Sennheiser’s two year warranty.
User reviews of the product are mostly very positive and you often find the quality of the Sennheiser HD 555 Headphones being compared to much more pricey models in a favorable way. Many people report them to be fantastic for anything from dance music to classical. In fact classical music is probably a forte of these headphones as they are built to deliver clean and crisp sound and not overdo the bass like many lower end offerings.
Plug these babies into an amped setup with a sound proofed room and it’s hardly likely you will need anything more.
The Sennheiser HD 555 Headphones really do the business for most users and unless you are needing these for the highest level of sound work I really don’t think you can go wrong.
